Why don’t you take insurance?

Sadly, the care you receive at traditional physical therapy clinics, that have a contracts with insurance carriers, is often dictated or influenced by health insurance companies. By not accepting insurance, I can treat the you based on the needs I find beneficial without counting minutes that need to be billed to insurance. This allows me to spend one-on-one time with you focussing the necessary attention to navigate the case AND keep my prices low because I am not spending time filing codes.

HOWEVER… I can provide an itemized receipt to the client in which can be submitted to the insurance provider if there are out-of-network physical therapy benefits. You can check with your insurance to see if any reimbursement is available:

1.) Prior to your appointment, call your insurance company understand your physical therapy benefits. Try to speak to a human. Ask them if there are any benefits to “OUTPATIENT” AND “OUT OF NETWORK” Physical Therapy.

2.) Other questions you may want to ask:

  • Do I have a deductible. If so, how much? How much has already been met?

  • What percentage of coverage is my responsibility for seeing an Out of Network provider?

  • Does my policy require a written referral or a pre-authorization on file for outpatient PT?

  • Is there a dollar amount or visit limit per year available for reimbursement?

  • Is there a specific form to be filled out in order to submit a claim?

  • How do I submit the claim? Online? Mail?

3.) If you have discovered that your insurance coverage will reimburse you for services, we can provide documentation.

4.) Wellness services are likely not qualified for reimbursement UNLESS your insurance offers a wellness credit.

Lastly, currently we do not take Medicare/Medicaid clients

What forms of payment do you accept?

PhysioFitDPT, LLC is an out-of-network provider with all insurance carriers so we do not accept health insurance plans. We operate as a fee-for-service practice and do not contract with insurance providers. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Payment is due at the time of service or a card can be stored in your account in order to make sure the entire appointment time is allocated to your care and not processing payments.

Do i need a referral?

Georgia is now a direct access state which means that PT’s are now able to evaluate and treat a patient without a need for a referral or prescription. This means quicker access when you need it and avoiding the costs associated with getting that referral. If I think a referral is in order and/or we do not see any improvements in timely matter, I will advise referral before continuing treatment.

Dry needling services may still require referral.
